A Celtic Tapestry Blog Tour – Hunter S. Jones an author

Moon Rose Publishing has just released their newest book, A CELTIC TAPESTRY! An anthology between eight authors, each one has taken their own twist on one of the Celtic festivals of the year. From sunny spring to chilly winter, everyone’s favourite season is given a fresh and enticing take in this wonderful collection. To celebrate, Moon Rose Publishing is also hosting a fabulous giveaway as part of the release!

And today Hunter S. Jones is here to talk about it.

Hi Hunter, glad to see you here today. Before we get a move on with the blog tour and book promo can you give me your best Whoop? Or Wheeeheee? Because somehow I know you’re not one of those silent types, right?

How about a Wooohooo!  ?

Okay, sounds like a winner that one, but does it work all the time, even those times when the muse has gone and done a runner on you? And when did you first start using it?

No, I really need to use it. It’s only used for special occasions.

Right, you are on the right track there. Let’s do a few of the yada yada questions before we move on to the real fun.

What is the title of the book you would like to talk about? Is it another one of those zombie erotica stories I enjoyed reading so much? Fables of the Reconstruction, who could forget about that one. The first ever zombie erotica which actually worked how erotica should.

Why, thank you Lucy. That’s so nice of you to say. I’m glad you enjoyed Fables. That really means a lot.

Today, let’s chat about A Celtic Tapestry. It’s the highly anticipated new anthology from Moon Rose Publishing.

A Celtic Tapestry cover

The wheel of the year turns, bringing the joy of spring, the warmth of summer, the richness of autumn, and the merriment of winter. But eight Celtic festivals link these seasons together, bringing with them romance, lust, danger, and even magic. From a city under threat from night-time creatures at Ostara, to a selkie caught by the light of the Lughnasadh moon, to a writer caught in the flames of a fiery goddess at Imbolc.

Eight authors have come together to give their own twist on these festivals, weaving each story with a blend of myth, magic, and contemporary telling…to create A Celtic Tapestry. The authors involved in this anthology are Livia Ellis, Hunter S. Jones, Laura DeLuca, Elodie Parkes, Elle J Rossi, Miranda Stork, Carolyn Wolfe and Tara Stogner Wood.

Did you have difficulty coming up with the title of this one? Dumb question, it’s an anthology, you wouldn’t have to come up with a title. Let’s change it then. Would you have chosen another one?

A Celtic Tapestry is an anthology available through Moon Rose Publishing. The publisher, Miranda Stork, was thoughtful enough to allow the eight authors to vote on the title. How great is that?

That is wonderful and I guess most satisfying to you authors knowing you had a say in the whole coming together of the book and whatnot?

But just to confuse you we’ll take the alternative route now.

What don’t you like about writing, or whatever you need to do marketing wise?

I love the creative process…taking random thoughts and placing them into a finished written story. As for marketing…that’s an entirely different beast, isn’t it?

Tell me, when your muse is visiting and you’re on a roll, what would seriously drive her/him away?

Having a drink.

What does your muse look like?

I’m superstitious, so I can’t tell you Lucy.

Oh, okay 🙂 But that does make me curious if he/she might be a bit jealous or possessive. Anyway, do you ever speak to your characters and do you get along all the time?

The characters tend to ‘speak’ to me and give me clues. It’s up to me to find out how all the puzzle pieces fit together and make it into a story.

Can you name the food and drink that will surely get you started?

Everyday starts with a coup of English tea. Sugar only, no cream.

Would you be able to come up with an excuse on why you haven’t written a whole day, and have me believe it too?

I’ve been researching today and…

Hahaha, now that sounds really plausible. And finally why would you ever want to live life behind a keyboard slaving over a manuscript?

Because I ruptured my Achilles tendon last year and can’t do anything else right now!

Okay now that we have the mandatory questions out of the way, shoot your mouth off. Tell me whatever you want the blab about. But please no cat’s, dogs, or children. Make me laugh, or cry, or even envious. Tell me something none has ever heard before from you. hehehe, love those little dirty secrets, real or make believe. 🙂

Love one another, do no harm and support independent artists whether it’s music, acting, the written word or art.

Thank you Lucy! Everybody loves Lucy and I appreciate you taking the time to speak with me today.

Thank you for bringing the Tour to my blog. 🙂 The only things I’m curious about are how it all came to be for you, bio time! And where can we get that anthology?

What? There’s a trailer for the book?

Trailer!

And the book can be bought at

But now I’d like to read that bio of yours, please? 🙂

The art form I create when writing is much more interesting than anything you will ever know or learn about me. However, since you ask, I have lived in Tennessee and Georgia my entire life, except for one “lost summer” spent in Los Angeles. I was always a complex kid. My first published stories were for a local underground rock publication in Nashville. I have published articles on music, fashion, art, travel and history. Currently, I have a music blog and published my debut novella, Fables of the Reconstruction, in 2012. I have a fascination with Edgar Allan Poe and Anne Rice, although I love history and like any Southern girl, I will always idolize Margaret Mitchell for writing Gone With The Wind. I live in Atlanta, Georgia with my partner, my books and a million dollar view.
