Top 10 Places to Find Bloggers

Bloggers should be a key component in an indie author’s marketing plan and I’m often asked where to find bloggers. Here are my go to directories and sites for finding bloggers for my clients.

  1. The Book Blogger List§
  2. YA Book Blog Directory§
  3. Book Blogger Directory§
  4. Google – use your genre and blogger in your search terms
  5. Goodreads – check to see if any bloggers have added your book to their shelf. This is a little time consuming as you must click on each profile to see if they link to a blog.
  6. BookBlogs.ning§ – A social media site for connecting with bloggers. Get involved in groups to build relationships with bloggers and other authors.
  7. Picket Fence Blogs§ – The blogs here are not exclusively books, but you can narrow it down by category. It is also a voting site, so you will get an idea of how popular a blog it.
  8. TNBBC’s The Next Best Book Book Blog§ – Often you will run across blogs that do not accept indie or self-published books, TNBBC maintains a list of blogs that do.
  9. Top 50 Book Blogs§
  10. Twitter – check your followers, do a search of #bloggers, #readers to find bloggers. I don’t recommend pitching to a blogger on Twitter, unless their review policy specifically states it’s okay.

But who is Donna?

Hi Donna!

Donna Huber is an avid reader and natural encourager. She is the blogger behind Girl Who Reads where, in addition to book reviews and author appearances, she writes the popular blogging advice series, Tips on Thursday. She has worked as a freelance publicist since 2010 assisting publishers and authors with their marketing and publicity needs. Most notably, she was the publicist for The Writerís Coffee Shop Publishing House edition of Fifty Shades of Grey and Fifty Shades Darker by E. L. James.

When she is not doling out blogging advice or promoting the next bestseller, she can be found spending time with family (particularly the four legged, furry members), rewatching Downton Abbey and Harry Potter, or trying to make a dent in her never ending to-be-read pile.

If you are interested in Donna’s services, she can be found and contacted on TwitterFacebook, her Blog, and on Goodreads
