Brownies.
There are as many recipes as there are people loving them, but all require massive amounts of chocolate. At least that’s how I feel about them. 🙂 The above ones are delish too, but I’d like to give you the secret to mine, which is more of a ‘wing-it’ type of thing, than really a measured and follow the rules kind of recipe.
Ready? Okay, fire up the oven to 325F (or 160C) and mix in a bowl(Just stir with a spoon until all is ‘one’) :
1 medium mug Flour
1 spoon Baking powder
1 mug Sugar
1 mug Maple syrup
1 mug Cocoa Powder
4 large Eggs (room temperature)
and 1 mug of melted salted butter
If you like you can add dark chocolate chips, or pecans, or pecans and chocolate chips, or raisins, or cranberries (dried), or whatever you like in your brownies. 🙂
Line your brownie baking tray with baking parchment. (I just use my lasagne dish) and bake for about 20-30 minutes, or until a wooden pick comes out clean, but not too clean. We want them nice and moist.
If you want to ‘booze’ them up, pour some orange liquor over them when they’re fresh from the oven and piping hot.
Okay, so I am not the worlds best photographer, but you can see they’re moist and maybe you can even see the green bits of pistachio.
What is your recipe for success? Or, Are you willing to share your ‘secret’ brownie recipe?
