I know you must be curious about the Author, so below you can find out a bit about her.

Joy writes erotic romance because she likes to expose my characters completely – strengths, flaws and scars. Her debut novella, Revving Her Up, was the first story in the Full Throttle series, which focuses on the bad boys – and girls – of stock car racing. It was a Night Owl Reviews Top Pick, and has been called “one heck of a sexy ride” (Sizzling Hot Books), and “a hell of a sexy read” (Read-Love-Blog). She’s currently working on the next two stories in the series.

Her newest novel, Nashville Trio, is a steamy MMF ménage novel about a country singer and the two very different men in her life. It comes out May 5, 2014.
New Adult romance is her new favorite passion. She loves writing stories with angst and heart, heart-melting kisses, and happy endings. She’s currently working on two New Adults series. The first, Running Scared, is about a Boston University student and the bodyguard hired to protect her from herself. It will be out in August 2014. The second series is a trilogy (Scarred, Burned, and Marked) about three friends bound together by a terrible tragedy and the scars it left behind.
Joy is originally from New York City, (and still a loyal Yankees fan!), but since moving south, she has developed passions for NASCAR and country music. Both feature in her recent stories. In addition to writing (and reading) she enjoys yoga, bellydancing, and growing veggies in the Washington, D.C. area with her scientist husband and two curious kids. She’s active in the Washington Romance Writers, and the Maryland Romance Writers, and has been a member of the Romance Writers of America (RWA) since 2009.
Like most authors, Joy loves hearing from readers. So stop by, and say Hi! at or friend/follow her on Goodreads, Facebook or Twitter. Go and join her on Pinterest to see pics of hot kisses, sexy heroes, and images relating to current and future works-in-progress (WIPs).

Book Tour and Giveaway – What Goes On Tour by Claire Boston

This is my stop on
The Rock Star Tour
for What Goes on Tour by Claire Boston

I’ve read and reviewed this book. I don’t want to give away too much, but you might want to get your copy now. Or go and read my review first. Click here to be zoomed to there. 🙂

What Goes on Tour

is an Adult Contemporary Romance.
The e-book has (depending on the size of your font) 282 pages and has been published on February 11th 2014 by Momentum Moonlight

What goes on tour, stays on tour, or does it?

Few people know that socially awkward Adrian Hart is actually rock god Kent Downer, and that’s the way Adrian likes it. His privacy is essential, especially now that he has guardianship of his orphaned, ten-year-old niece, Kate. But when the nanny quits in the middle of his tour Adrian finds himself in a bind.

Until Libby Myles walks into his life.

Libby has only ever wanted to become a full-time author and prove to her parents that she can make it on her own. On the surface, the temporary job as the nanny for Kent Downer’s niece looks perfectóthe pay is fabulous, the hours are short and Kate is a big fanóit’s the rock star that’s the issue.

Arrogant and way too attractive for anyone’s good, Kent Downer has enough swagger to power a small city. But when he’s out of costume he’s differentóshy and uncertain. For Libby it’s a far harder combination to resist. She needs to find a balance between work, writing and ignoring her attraction to the rock star, because if she falls for him, it could mean the end of her dream.

But when a horrible scandal is unleashedóputting young Kate in dangeróthere’s more heat between Libby and Adrian than just sexual attraction. Libby must figure out if Adrian ever cared for her, or if it was all just part of the show Ö

Claire Boston was a voracious reader as a child, devouring anything by Enid Blyton as well as series such as Nancy Drew, Trixie Belden, The Baby-sitters Club and Sweet Valley High. Then one school holidays when sheíd run out of books to read her mother handed her ëHot Iceí by Nora Roberts and Claire instantly fell in love with romance novels.

The love of reading soon turned to a love of writing and she struggled to keep within the 1500 word limit set by her teachers for her creative writing assignments. When she finally decided to become serious about her stories she joined Romance Writers of Australia, found her wonderful critique group and hasnít looked back.

When Claireís not reading or writing she can be found in the garden attempting to grow vegetables, or racing around a vintage motocross track. If she can convince anyone to play with her, she also enjoys cards and board games.

Claire lives in Western Australia, just south of Perth with her husband, who loves even her most annoying quirks, and her two grubby, but adorable Australian bulldogs.

For this tour Claire was willing to tell us a bit about what she did before she wrote this novel. A thing all authors should do but sadly some don’t.

Most novels require some level of research, whether it’s a quick google to look at a street view image to remind you of what something looks like or whether it’s reading whole swaths of research books to get a full understanding of some aspect of culture or clothing.

What Goes on Tour required a moderate amount of research. The first thing I had to look into was child guardian laws in Texas which is where Adrian is from. I needed to know what was possible in terms of how binding the nominated guardian in a will is and whether there was ability for someone to challenge that. I went to a lot of websites (checking their validity of course) and got a basic understanding of how the law works. Then I found the contact details of a Texas lawyer and explained what I was after, as well as my understanding, to check I was correct. The lady I contacted was really helpful and I was fairly confident my story idea would work.

I also contacted my favourite talk show and asked what happens behind the scenes, before the show is aired. Were there rehearsals? How much makeup had to be applied? What happened after the show? Again there was a really useful response, explaining everything that happened and I realised I had to make a couple of adjustments to my story to incorporate them.

Some things are really easy to research. Want to do know a child friendly activity in and around Melbourne and Sydney? A quick google or look on a travel advisory website and there are a multitude of options to choose from. Other times it’s a little more difficult. The scene where they climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge was one I needed help with as I’ve never done the climb myself. The tour website gave me basic information but then I put out a request on the Romance Writers of Australia email loop, asking if anyone could give me more in depth details. Luckily the group is very supportive and I had a number of people emailing me, telling me of their experiences, what actually happens before the climb and one lady sent me a bunch of pictures showing people on the climb. It was invaluable information and hopefully made the scene that much more authentic.

For my next manuscript I’ll be researching heart attacks, nursing procedures in hospital and sailing. I really enjoy learning new things and so research is always fun for me.

New Release! Fortune Calling by Hunter S. Jones

I’m happy to be able to present to you the latest release by Hunter S. Jones, author or September Ends.

This time it’s a short story with a lot of life, love, and music.

Fortune. Reveal Your Destiny…the neon sign flashes, catching my attention on a dismal, rainy afternoon. Well, why not?
Nashville has always been competitive. My granddaddy called it the Hillbilly Babylon.
He was absolutely gorgeous and supposedly had a sex problem, the problem being he couldn’t get enough. Long curly blond hair and green eyes rimmed with long dark lashes. Billie Joe Inspiration - Donny Lewis6He was so tall and slender he could’ve been an actor or model, but like the rest of us, guitar was his love. He looked more like a rock god or a movie star than a country music star. But, his looks, talent, and charm had taken him a long way from Richmond, Virginia. Sheer tenacity, ambition, and loads of old family money had made Billie Joe the current Guitar God of Nashville, Tennessee.
Exciting teaser for sure.
Since it’s a short and I know I love everything this author has produced till now, I pushed this one up on the TBR list and dove in.

Ms Jones Official 11-13ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Exile on Peachtree Street.

Lover of all the finer things in life.

The art form I create when writing is much more interesting than anything you will ever know or learn about me. However, since you ask, I have lived in Tennessee and Georgia my entire life, except for one “lost summer” spent in Los Angeles. I was always a complex kid. My first published stories were for a local underground rock publication in Nashville. Since then, I have published articles on music, fashion, art, travel and history.

Currently, I have a music/entertainment blog My debut novella, Fables of the Reconstruction, was published in 2012. Moon Rose Publishing included my novella, Magic in Memphis, available as a short story on Amazon, in their anthology, A Celtic Collection.

Edgar Allan Poe and Anne Rice have always fascinated me, although like any Southern girl, I will always idolize Margaret Mitchell for writing Gone With The Wind. I also adore the works of John Grisham, and own a huge selection of his books. I live in Midtown Atlanta, Georgia with my husband, my books, too many clothes, too many shoes and way too many stacks of notepads and journals.

October 2013 saw the launch of a novel collaboration, SEPTEMBER ENDS, contemporary fiction laced with romance, erotic and supernatural elements, bound by poetry. This novel is written with an anonymous English poet. SEPTEMBER ENDS has been labeled an “Indie Sensation” due the critical reception and international recognition the novel has received.

My newest venture is The Fortune Series. The Story of Dallas Fortune. This collection will be a series of short stories and novelettes chronicling the lives and loves of Dallas Fortune.

The release of Fortune Calling is scheduled for January 30, 2014.

So hurry and get your copy today!

It’s not often I read 60 pages in one stretch, but boy … This is a book I couldn’t put down. Not even when I had to go to toilet.
Okay, that said I must also say this is book three, and the last of a series of which I hadn’t read one and two. But … Yes, there’s a but, a big fat positive but. I never missed not having read the first two, because the author not only showed how the events leading up to this book link in but she did it in a way that wasn’t obvious. So even though it is part of a series, to me it read perfectly as a stand-alone.
Now about the content. Great! Can’t say anything else but ‘great!’ Characters are fully developed and had me rooting for them from the get go. All of them, even the minor ones have flesh and bones and background to make them really come alive.
The plot? It brought tears to my eyes. The way this author very tastefully brought 9-11 into the plot is amazing and does justice to the people who suffered and still do from this vile and low attack on innocent New Yorkers as well as the people in the other planes and places. So even though it is not the main plot line, this does play a role in the story. How the characters are handling their experience of that day and the days following shows the author has immense compassion for those affected and describes emotions and events in a way that is both tasteful and compelling to read.
To whom would I recommend this book? To all who like to read a love story with a solid background and a message which isn’t in your face but there nevertheless.

(I have not received any kind of compensation for the review nor this post)

Thank you Mariam for writing this book and allowing me to read and review it.

Now, where can you find the author online?
